International Activities
In addition to DFRU student soft skills, many activities are attended by students not only in domestic but also abroad. These activities include student exchanges, competitions, seminars, and so on. This will further add students’ insights in recognizing and accepting various cultural differences, as a means of exchanging information and science, technology, and art.
Student Exchange
This year, one of the DFRU students, Ken Rizkyna (C44150080) is implementing a student exchange program in Japan for 1 year, precisely at Ryukyus University, Okinawa, Japan. Participants come from various countries around the world.
Competition
Sahrin Nugroho (C4160094) mengikuti Asia Pacific Agriculture Undergraduate Project Competition 2018 yang dilaksanakan di Taiwan. Kompetisi ini diikuti oleh 49 tim dari 8 negara. Acara ini merupakan lomba proyek sains mahasiswa dengan 3 topik utama yaitu Agriculture and Life Science, Engineering and Energy, dan Humanities and Management.
One of DFRU students, Ari Triharyono (C44170009) participated in the Asia Pacific Business Plan Competition 2019. This activity is one of the competitions for youth in Asia Pacific to channel creative ideas that can later bring about change. The activity is packaged in the form of a business plan and conference, attended by 60 teams from 10 countries.
Sahrin Nugroho (C4160094) participated in the Asia Pacific Agriculture Undergraduate Project Competition 2018 that held in Taiwan. This competition was participated by 49 teams from 8 countries. This event is a student science project competition with 3 main topics namely Agriculture and Life Science, Engineering and Energy, and Humanities and Management.
The International Fisheries Symposium 2018 facilitates researchers, academics, students, governments, companies and all stakeholders especially those from Southeast Asia with Japan and China to gather and discuss their experiences and knowledge. This activity was attended by Sahrin Nugroho (C4160094) in Thailand with 310 participants from 12 countries.
Ken Rizkyna (C44150080) in 2017 participated in the NPUST Asia Pacific Agriculture Student Summit, Taiwan. This activity is an annual competition organized by the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, with student participants from universities in the Asia Pacific. In this competition Ken won 3rd place as the best oral presenter.
